Ingredients -
1 can condensed milk
¾ cup fine white sugar
3 eggs
1½ cups water
1 cup dry coconut
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1½ cups evaporated milk
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Melt the sugar over a medium heat without stirring, to cover the bottom of a baking dish. Beat the cocoa powder, eggs, condensed milk, water and evaporated milk until well combined. Stir well, adding the coconut.
Pour the mixture into the baking dish over the melted sugar. Place the baking dish into a larger pan and add an inch of hot water to the larger pan. Bake for an hour and a half. Remove from the oven and cool completely. Refrigerate for half an hour then use a knife to separate the edges of the chocolate coconut flan from the baking dish.
